Each student gets to check out 2 books at the school library and we will return them the following Wednesday.
Students may bring a book to read during rest time.
The Scholastic Book Orders are due Monday, August 29.
Complete and return the T-shirt order form that is at the bottom of the newsletter. Students are not required to order the shirts. We will wear them on field trips and other events during school and after school.
Our class made a book entitled “Mrs. Klosterman’s Class Gets Ready For Kindergarten.” Each student will get to bring the book home for a night; please read it with your child and return it the next day. Thank you!
Last week each student was assessed on lowercase letters and capital. I sent home the results; please work with your child on the missed letters. I will reassess at the end of September. Also work with your child on writing their name on a line.
Every year I take Kindergarten students to Dairy Queen if they can tie their shoes. The students who can tie their shoes will go to Dairy Queen on October 19 to get ice cream; those who cannot tie their shoe will walk with us but will not get ice cream. Our goal is for everyone to be able to tie their shoes!:)
I am proud to say that everyone returned their math homework last week. AWESOME JOB!
