First Grade News: December 3-7, 2007
Religion- Rebuilding Jerusalem- Nehemiah 4; John is Born- Luke 1
Memory- Christmas Program Parts
*I have listed on your child’s Christmas Program the date for each memory.
The date listed is what your child should study that night for the next day.
Please keep the Christmas program in your child’s folder because they
will need it for practices.
Math- Students will be learning to add doubles plus 1 facts and problem solving this week. Students will have a fact test on Thursday and a written test on Friday.
Monday: Lesson 76B; Fact Homework 76

Wednesday: Lesson 78B; Facts 78B
Thursday: Lesson 79B; Facts 79B
Reading-We are continuing this week with stories about “Our Neighborhood at Work”. Thank you to everyone who came to talk to our class. The students learned a lot about different jobs. Students will be working on review sounds, the /j/ spelled ge and gi, long o spelled o and o_e.. Please work on these sounds at home if you notice any problems let me know.
Tuesday: Decodable #63

Vocab and Word Wall Words: go, like, sharp, cartons, bouquet
Spelling: The test will be on Friday.

*Congratulations to first grade on taking AR tests. The students are doing very well. I continue to encourage students to take at least one test a week.
