Class Work
*Reading– Students will be learning the p sound this week.They will be reviewing the d, p, s, and m sounds. Please continue to work on these sounds this week along with writing them. If you need extra activities please let me know. We are going to begin working on a class book this week. We will be picking a topic, prewriting, doing a rough draft, and editing. This book will be published by a company and available for purchase. There will be a form send home later in the month for anyone wanting to purchase a book.
* Word Wall Words (star words) this week- Review
*Religion– Reformation- Martin Luther; The Story of David
*Memory– Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119: 105
We will also be working on the hymn of the month “I am Jesus Little Lamb”
*Math- Students will be reviewing less, more, fewer and same. We will also be learning to count and write 6 and 7.
*Science- Rocks
*Social Studies- U.S. Symbols

Monday– Chapel 8:30; New Book-It Forms sent home (read 20 minutes 3 days a week)
Wednesday- Library; Mrs. Owens (public library) visit
Thursday– Show and Tell- Bring something that begins with a “p”; Picture Retake
Friday- Gym
Snacks and Drinks
Leah Pottschmidt will have snacks and drinks this week and be the star of the week.

News
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Reformation party.
Great job to all Kindergarten students for being patient and calm during our 1 hour wait in the hallway during the tornado warning last week!
Grandparent’s Day is November 12 from 8:30 to after lunch. We will go to chapel, do activities, and eat lunch.
The student council is doing a food drive for people in Haiti. Items will be collected from Monday, November 1 to Wednesday, November 10.
Our art classes are in need of old newspapers. If you have any you would like to get rid of please send in with your child. Thank you!
