Language Arts:
We’ll finish our reading book this next week. We will have a unit assessment on Tuesday and the last Benchmark test on Thursday.

Word Wall Words: We will do a Review Week of Word Wall Words this week and next week. The list will be divided. Attached is a list of all words. Note how the tests will be given.

Math: We will finish the Saxon math. We will then use the Pearson “Envision” samples that we received to review.

Science: Chapter 12 (The test over this will be on 5/18/10.)
Social Studies: We’ll continue to work on unit six. For the unit project I’d like to have the students create a sales pitch for an item they’d like to sell. The item could be clothing that does not fit them anymore, an old toy, a book that is too easy for them to read, etc. For the project I want them to create an ad to sell the item. They will need to use details, colorful art work and good word choice to create the ad. This will be due on May 25th

Mrs. Owens from Brownstown Public Library told us about the Summer Reading club on Wednesday. It will run from June 1 to July 24. Sign up at the library! I hope your child will participate. It is a fun way to keep up the reading skills!!

Baptismal birthday party for JADE and KELIAN will be on May 14th

Several children have asked if they can bring treats in if they have a summer birthday. That is fine-- just let me know the date. Thanks!

May God continue to bless you and your family with His love and peace!
